Santa Teresa Monastery
The Carmelite monastery of Santa Teresa in Arequipa was founded in 1710 and opened its doors to the public after 295 years of withdrawn life.
It is one of the most important places for Virreynal art exhibitions in Peru.
His visit includes the temple, choir and cloister of the monastery.
From the cloister, you can sometimes hear the song of the nuns who pray at the sixth hour. A unique experience.
In the Museum's shop, you can enjoy a variety of delicious candies and cakes made by the monastery's nuns with ancient recipes, as well as crafts and souvenirs, including rose soaps prepared with an ancient and secret formula.
